Just to let everyone know we will be following and reporting Nicola Jolly’s ventures as Miss Scotland in the Miss World Content held on the Hainan Island, China later this year.

Closing Ceremony

Last nights closing ceremony went off in the usual Tiree fashion. Skye Boy was crowned the Triple Crown Champion, with Louise Emery taking the ladies title.

Event Village Update

Today the sailors are doing a Freestyle Session for a one off pot of prize money. The waves and wind have started to drop, but no one seems to mind as the event has already been completed.

Red Bull Wake Surfing

Yesterday the Red Bull “big beat wired for sound” wagon took Jock, one of the event crew, for a spot of Wake Surfing. John Carter, event photographer, managed to capture the action from the helicopter.
Kids learn to surf with Clan Surf School

This week the kids have been enjoying Tiree’s waves with lessons from the Clan Surf School, who brought over their surf truck from Glasgow for the event.
The Hebridean Pursuits Company goes Rock Jumping

All week the Hebridean Pursuits Company have been taking people out Rocking Jumping Adventures in the tidal impact zones around the island. They have also been taking people on Kayaking and surfing adventures.
John Carters Quiz Night

The SUN team just pipped Team Foster’s at JC’s quiz night. There were a few disputes with some of JC’s questions, but the hecklers were deduced points for hassling the organisers.
Federico from BIG BROTHER gave out the prizes. The quiz raised £75 of the local community fund.
