With blustery cross-on conditions the Judges have decided to go for a Pro round of Super cross at Gott Bay.
There’s a lunchtime briefing on the beach for the other classes.
Supercross for beginners
SUPERCOSS is the windsurfing equivalent of the Grand National. First past the finish post wins, it’s that simple. Sailors race over a course defined by marker buoys and featuring obstacles, (giant sausages… I jest not!) and compulsory maneuvers. Simple yet dangerous, as crashes are inevitable, so sailors are likely to be wearing protective helmets and body armor. Generally a good indication of danger level. Right, got that? Off to the beach then? What, it’s dark? Back to the bar then, Cheers!
