Well done to Irish Timo Mullen who has won this year’s Tiree Wave Classic! English John Skye was runner up and German Dany Bruch came third.
In the ladies, Marie Buchanan took the prestigious title in her first wave competition - congratulations Marie!

2009 CAL MAC COLL CHALLENGE KICKS OFF!

The Cal Mac Coll Challenge, a tri-sport adventure race, kicked off this morning on Gott Bay beach where 13 competitors started off by running 3 miles along the beach. After the first leg, the competitors then had to paddle surf out to the edge of Tiree and race back again.

Strathclyde Fire & Rescue are one of the Tiree Wave Classic’s sponsors this year and they have come to Tiree to try deliver fire safety messages to the Tiree community. They wanted to bring the classroom to Tiree to show that they deliver the same service to Tiree as they do to communities on the mainland.
