Not enough wind to run the competition today but will resume tomorrow.

Tonight is ‘Taste of Scotland’ night at An Talla - all windsurfers and anyone involved in the Tiree Wave Classic all come to An Talla for a delicious dinner cooked by our fantastic chef, Chris. Dinner is at 7.30pm.

LONGEST DAY WINDSURFING IN EVENT HISTORY!
Yesterday’s competition was the longest in event history according to Head Judge of the World Tour, Duncan Coombes, who is also judging at this year’s Tiree Wave Classic.
The windsurfers started at 7.45am and were out until after 6pm in fantastic conditions down at Balephuil beach.

2: John Skye (England) - John Skye is also currently lying in 5th spot in the World Series

LATEST ACTION AT BALEPHUIL BEACH
Day one of the Tiree Wave Classic kicked off yesterday at Balephuil beach. Conditions were not the best but there was enough wind and waves to start the Amateurs, Masters and the Ladies.

2009 TIREE WAVE CLASSIC BEGINS!
The months of preparation are over and the 2009 Tiree Wave Classic has started to roll.
Registration is under way at the Event HQ at An Talla. The Calmac ferry has just docked at Scarinish pier and competitiors and spectators are streaming off with cars and vans laden with kit.
Once registration is complete we’ll give you a further update.
PHIL HORROCKS PRACTICING IN RUN UP TO TOMORROW’S EVENT
Some of the windsurfers have been out practicing this afternoon in the run up to the 2009 Tiree Wave Classic starting tomorrow. Conditions were fantastic with winds of up to 39 mph.

ONE DAY ‘TIL 2009 TIREE WAVE CLASSIC KICKS OFF!
The GMFCo team (with a little help from some friends!) are all up at Tiree today helping set up at An Talla Community Hall before the 2009 Tiree Wave Classic kicks off.
